About Wine and types

The types of wine comes from two basic characteristics :

A) Colour
According to its colour, wines are categorized in : White, Rose and Red. The colour of the wine comes from the colour of the grapes but also from the vinification method. but is is also possible to have white wine from red grapes.

B) Sugar content
According to the sugar contect, wines are categorized in Dry, semi-Dry, Sweet and semi-Sweet. The law specifies the required content of sugars, so a wine is characterized as Dry or semi-Dry e.t.c.

One of the most important parameters of the wine, is the place where the grapes used to produce this wine were grown. Geography gives the wines their special characteristics.
